A way to raise level cap without ruining game!
I think they need to keep the levels uncapped, however, make every level after level 20 count for nothing attrb. wise.
Have different auras for higher levels, acces to certain areas, acces to armor skins, etc... This way we would attract people who enjoy the grinding aspect of WoW and such, but it wouldn't ruin the game for who do not.
I would really like to see something given as reward for our experience. I don't mind fighting, but when its fighting for some minute chance to drop a weapon that can have 2 of 6 good mods, its just not exciting.

Oh, sorry, I would have but Im not really trying to get any change. I wanted to first get a general discussion about it. I'm not petitioning as I know it won't happen, but, I like discussions. The people on here always bring up good points.

This would actually ruin the game.
Many of the game mechanics is calculated basing on the character level, the damage, health etc...
Moreover, I don't see any good of the level being uncapped, when it doesn't affect your attribute and such.
And I'm not a fan of those unlimit level MMORPG as well.

this is not an elitest look at my level and be in awe of me game nor is it a reward me for grinding with i have it you dont grind items.
my opinion of this horror of *OMG I AM SURROUNDED BY EQUALS* syndrome suggests a big wow enema as your best course of treatment
/idea stinks

What is the point of that ?
When you lvl up from 1 to 20, your health increase and you have some attribute points. Now if you don't get any attribute point from lvl 20+, your skill level will stay the same, while your health is much higher with high lvl, that will completely break the mechanic of the game. Lightning Orb does 100 dmg to a lvl 30 warrior with 1000 health

i think its not a bad idea, if its purely for show - it wouldnt be used to calculate damage or health points.
you'd see lots of lvl100+ ppl in town (and you could tell someone is a bot if they are lvl 1000+)
and there would be elitist lfg spamming 'LOOKING for ppl mission and bonus, no noobs below lvl40 (i'm lvl42)'
there is a system like that in place already - use your skillpoints to cap elites, by the time you get 1st tier title, everyone will see that you earned 90+ skillpoints, tier 2 means you would be level 100+, if there was no cap.

You can get skill points via Factions quests.

If Anet ever raises the cap Im sure it will be interesting
Im not opposed to it as long as the gameplay remains balanced for the most part.

The person is just asking for a better reward for having more Xp/gaining more XP not asking for more hp/energy.
Its a good idea to have some incentive but from my point of view Anet only cares about PvP in the end so they won't give anything extra in the near future.

All this does is reward farmers or bots.

That would still ruin the game. It would just bring the elitism thats ruined PvP over into PvE and there would be discrimination. There would be groups for lvl 50+ only, 100+ only etc. The lower levels would be left out. Or people could do the opposite and say level 300 "farmers" arent welcome in their groups.

How would that make them a bot? All level 1000+ means is they farm a lot(and i mean a LOT. Thats like 15-20mill exp). That doesnt make them a bot. Most bots would be banned before they got even half way to that.

You'd end up infecting the PvE world with the elitist attitude that has infected HA. (I know not everyone there is one.) You'd see a lot of "GLF members, must have X amount of XP - Show Emote" bah! Who needs it?

Lot of exp = you farm too much.
Lot of fame = you IWAY too much.
If it makes people happy, who cares. Let them have their rewards, think what you want, it's just a game. It's about grinding now anyway in case you haven't looked at the amount of faction to hold a town, or the amount playing required to get some of the titles.
PvE elitism? How about they create some areas that would actually require some PvE elitists to complete. Urgoz's has been cleared with 3 people when you can have 12, kinda hard to be elite in PvE when it's too easy.

hell... I'd just like to see when my necro will finally get the last skill point after level 20... if AN would let us see what level we're at after 20[21, 22 and so on for each skill point] that'd work fine for me

It's a EXP aura for farming, not raising the level cap that adds more HP and enery and attribute points. Why?
